Wes shakes his head a bit as the image manages to fade away suddenly in a way that make him wonder if he'd actually seen anything at all.
He looks over into the window of the main hummer and studies the look on Hallon's face for a moment. A look that makes him think once again that perhaps he did see something. Wes finally looks to the road once again, now on heightened guard. |

Riki has dozed off. Her light is sleep and she wakes up when Ayn makes the comment about the A/C. She scowls at Ayn, turns over, and closes her eyes. A couple minutes later, she turns to face the window again. She looks out and up. "Hey...where's the dragon?"
Rikali had been coming this far on no sleep, no food. It had been close to a month since the dragon last slept, a week since her last real meal. Already weak, Rikali is beginning to falter. She can still see the Hummers, but she is far behind them. The ground is also looking a lot closer. "So tired...so hungry. When are they going to stop?" |

*Dead Silence... Yet only a few seconds after Gale breathes, Kadino plummets through the fog to the ground. He hears a set footsteps again, running, from below and in front of him.
GRAWRLSHAWRRR! *All at once Gale is attacked by a blinding black hurricane of grappling claws. A creature truly insane, with catlike ears on its head.* |

Gale barely manages to hold up Sin in defense against the assault. He snarls and his aura fluxes.
__ Hallon shrugs. "I haven't seen her since we left." Lara shivers and tries to sleep again. |

Ayn frowns, then leans forward, looking at the control panel by the wheel. After a few seconds she locates it, then leans closer to look at it. She arches an eyebrow, it's already off. "It's not the AC.. Why's it so damn cold in here.."

The headlights of the jeep flicker and then suddenly turn off, shrouding the upcoming road in darkness.

Ayn blinks, her eyes unadjusted to the darkness. She leans back, wrapping her arms around her front and shivering.

Hallon looks around cautiously, something wasn't right. Whatever he sensed earlier was near...
Lara slumps down into her seat. "Wow, if it already wasn't the car-ride from hell it is now." __ Gale doesn't respond but tries to press the attacker off of him. |

Ayn smiles slightly, amused at Lara's comment. She doesn't say anything however, and instead adjusts her position in her seat and tries to stretch out her legs.

There is a tap on the window next to Ayn, and Legion stares in, his fangs exposed in a grin. "I seeeeeeeeeeee you. Come outside and play!" He flexes his claw and seems about ready to smash the window open.
((This post reminds me of that spoof of the Twilight Zone "Thing on the wing of the plane" episode on the Simpsons XD)) |

Ayn screams loudly, although it's more of a reaction to her shock than anything. She unbuckles her seatbelt and scoots away from the window, reaching for her sword.

One, up to now, had just been ignoring everyone else. He only wanted to get to Capital as quick as possible. But now he hard Ayn scream, so he smashed the brake, and looked back. "What's going on???"

Hayate's spent most of the trip in a seeming trance, as he explores his thoughts ever further. However, he moves onto a different train of thought after a little while, and begins thinking about Riki/Rikali. He finds it somewhat uncomfortable that the person he's looking at is a stranger to him, despite their shared experiences. He wonders if she even recognises him, but before he gets much further, he's snapped out of his reverie by a inconveniently timed scream

Riki had seen the terrifying face in Ayn's window. "This is why I never let my sword go too far, One!" She holds the blade and scoots to the middle of the car, closer to Hayate (possible? I think he's in the car..)
Rikali sees the lights flick out. She blinks. "That's not right..." Beating her wings harder, she forces her body to pick up speed. Calling her mind out the elements, she commands the winds to pick up and carry her faster. |

Ayn cusses. "Damnit! It's that blasted archdemon.. Looks like he's been inhaling laundry detergent." She looks back to One, and waves a hand dismissively, as if she didn't consider Legion a threat.

One turns back around and starts up the car again. He didn't really mind the headlights going out, he was able to see fairly well in his opinion(bad driver.=P). He drove down the road, picking up speed.

Hayate finds his personal space being violated by the very person he was just thinking about. Needless to say, this adds to his feeling of discomfort, as does the announcement of an archdemon being present.

The car suddenly dies, showing no signs of working again. Lara looks around, this was starting to bother her. Normally she'd face anything no matter how bad it was, but she was pretty screwed up right now, and didn't know how much more she could take.
Hallon glared at One. "See?" |

Ayn mutters a curse under her breath. There was no point in sitting here in the Hummer now, they'd be sitting ducks. She opens up the door and steps out, her fists already glowing white.

He gave Hallon a dirty look. They just met and One already didn't like him. He turned the ignition, trying to start the car up again. Nothing. He curses loudly. "Great. . . now what can we do?"

"Walk?" Rikali unbuckles herself and follows Ayn out of the car, curious.

He just notices that some of the others got out of the car and started walking. One honked the horn and screamed. "Where are you going?! You don't even know where it is! And it's the middle of night, you sure you want to be caught walking alone?!"

"No, I wouldn't. Good thing the two of us aren't alone!" Riki calls back, having caught up with Ayn.

Hallon smacks his forhead. "Don't go and do that!" He leaves the hummer to follow them.
Lara sighs and looks at One. "Well I'm not going out there, especially weaponless." She streches out, lying down where Riki and Ayn previously where. |

Ayn grins at Hallon. "What? You scared?" She shows Hallon a glowing palm. "Don't worry. We won't let Bleach-breath harm anyone."

One looks back to Lara, and then eyes Hayate. He turns back around, watching Hallon run after the other two. Once again, One screams. "Hey Riki! Remember when I fought you in the Castle?! Yeah, remember that? Did ya know when your daughter went there, she trained under me? I had her sleeping in the dungeons where Gale made his bones!" He went quiet, he was definately annoyed at the moment. 'Look at what Gale is making us do. . '

There's a giggle in Ayn's mind as Legion's voice echoes in it. "My my, aren't you the brave one, little girl? Let's play a game...." There's a trail of blood leading from the side of the road toward the woods nearby.

"I did nothing. The brat came to the castle and begged Gale to train her. But Gale was busy and asked me to do it for a while. Who knows, she might be dead." One tries to turn the car on again, but fails. He bangs his head on the steering wheel. "Damnit. . "

Ayn whirls around, peering into the darkness for Legion. She assumes a fighting position, crouched down slightly. She wrinkles her nose. "Fine. You want to play? Then come out from your hiding place, your stench isn't very concealing."

Riki looks at the bloody trail and then at Ayn. "You're not gonna follow that, are you?"
The dragon looks ready to bust through the windshield and bite One's head off. "You LET her stay? Why didn't you send her home?!" |

Legion snickers. "With that nose maybe you're a bit in a far more literal sense. However, if you can smell me. Come in here and kill me. Why should I go out there where all your friends are?"

One smiles. "Not only did I let her stay, but I put her through the most rigorous training anybody could be put through, and she was only eleven!"

Ayn smirks, ignoring Hallon. It was almost as if she couldn't hear him. "Well, I've more important things to do than deal with some weak little creature as yourself. Either you come out here or we leave. Your call, 'lovely'."

Legion laughs. "Smart girl. You know not to get in the car with a stranger. Very well." Legions steps out, his wings extended and his form more true to his demonic nature.

Ayn folds her arms across her front, her palms still glowing. A look of smugness is etched across her face as she watches Legion appear. "How nice to hear from you again so soon, Bleach-breath."
